There is no Bathroom

It was several months ago when my associates and I sat down to seriously deliberate the possibility of writing, illustrating, and producing our own webcomic. Though Turbines to Speed is, in many respects, my brainchild, I was initially skeptical as to whether my singular talents would be equal to the task at hand. As something of a perfectionist, I was compelled to set the bar at an unreasonably high level, striving for a state of perfection that would have been completely unreasonable even for a veteran comic, much less a fledgling production such as this. Obviously, we haven't attained that lofty goal (nor do I think we are anywhere close), but I do think that our finished project is something that we can all be proud of.

As I sat down to pen the script for our first comic, I found myself recalling my previous tenure as a Day Camp Counselor. To this day, the memories of that place grip me with such an overwhelmingly bizarre sense of nostalgia and horror that nausea nearly always follows. It's not as though the job didn't have its rewarding moments, it's the simple fact that each and every one of these moments was reciprocated by an equally potent amount of stress and frustration, the end result of which could very well have led to an excruciating aneurism. Fortunately, my period of employment expired just short of that terrible breaking point, and I was spared the complete and total collapse of my mental sanity by a hair's breadth. Nevertheless, I'm thankful for the experience that I had there, if for no other reason than the fact that it's provided me with just the right amount of inspiration to finish writing this first strip and see Turbines to Speed to Launch. Special thanks to Mike for helping me polish the script. Enjoy.
